Yogyakarta, 10 July 2026. Storave announced that every bag stored through the platform is now automatically insured up to Rp 1,000,000, with no extra steps and no added cost for users.

Coverage was previously optional, and users had to select it themselves at checkout. Under the new policy, every booking includes insurance from the moment the bag is logged with a QR scan at the partner location.

Coverage starts the second the QR is scanned

The company made the starting point deliberately unambiguous. When a partner scans the booking QR code, the bag is formally logged in the system along with the drop-off time and the partner location. From that second, insurance applies until the bag is collected with the same code.

The policy in short:

  • Automatic. Applies to every booking, with nothing to select or switch on.
  • No added cost. Pricing stays at Rp 15,000 per bag per day.
  • Up to Rp 1,000,000 per bag. Covers suitcases, backpacks, and other bags.
  • Logged by QR. Drop-off and pickup times are both recorded in the system.

Why coverage became the default

Storing a bag means handing something valuable to someone else. As long as coverage was an optional add-on, that hesitation stayed with the user, especially for people trying a baggage storage service for the first time.

"If coverage only applies to the people who tick the box, we haven't actually solved the trust problem," a PT JAGA RAYA INTERNUSA representative said. "Now it's built in, not opted into."

The policy complements the company's existing partner vetting, which checks business identity and the suitability of the storage space before a location can accept any bags.

Live across the network

Automatic coverage applies at every Storave storage point, including those in Kabupaten Sleman and Kota Malang, and at every new city that follows.

Users can book through the Storave app on the Google Play Store. Business owners who want to become partners can download Storave Mitra or sign up at partner.storave.com.
